Thank you to everyone who helped make our Pack a Back 2022 school supplies drive a success. We received many generous online donations as well as lots of backpacks and school supplies in our donations bins! Thanks to all of you, we were able to donate over $6,000 in monetary donations and 22 fully stocked backpacks to Sacred Heart. We also were able to bring in a team from Holy Spirit to pack supplies into grade-specific kits to make sure each child gets exactly what they need to start the school year prepared. Another team of volunteers from Holy Spirit distributed the backpacks to smiling kids and their families. There was an atmosphere of excitement and festivity at the distribution event, as each child got to pick out just the right backpack! Sacred Heart was able to give 3,800 fully stocked backpacks to kids in need!

 supplies drive is an important investment in the community. When kids start school ready to learn, they start school with confidence, which puts them on the path for long-term educational success. The gift of a backpack can also help keep a family financially stable. For the families that have registered to receive backpacks, the $100 per child it takes to buy a backpack and all the necessary school supplies is too much of a financial burden. Receiving a stocked backpack for each child means not having to choose between school supplies and food or rent.
