The Veil Removed

 In Articles

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter.   As for me, this is the day the Lord has made, Alleluia, Alleluia! Rejoice and be glad. It is truly a time to rejoice because Christ is Risen, and He calls us to Himself in this same way in where we encounter him always – now and forever in the sacraments we receive. I would like to specifically congratulate the new members in our church, Kyla Man, Alex Lee, Antonio Lomeli, Isaiah Lomeli, and Ivan Lomeli Jr.

Your lives will be changed forever, even if you don’t know it. I, myself, did not know this and I had to find out by turning to prayer and learning more about the saints in the church.  I especially turned to Mary who continually points me to her son who is real and present to us in the Mass. I would like to show everyone a short film called, “The Veil Removed”, and this I believe is truly what happens at every Mass celebrated. Although this film is just a film and cannot really depict the real beauty and glory of what spiritually happens in the Mass, it is close to the real thing. Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection are all present every time we are at Mass, and He encounters us in the breaking of the bread as He encountered His disciples throughout these days of Easter. Christ is our daily bread, and the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Let us rejoice and be glad, Alleluia, Alleluia! I hope and pray that our hearts and minds be open to this short film to help us see the reality of our faith and know its true source and summit…. Jesus Chris.

Peace and Blessings,

Fr. John
