Welcome back to Holy Spirit School!

 In Articles

Our teachers and staff members have been very busy preparing classrooms, organizing class lists, loading technology apps, and attending numerous instructional trainings. We are eager to greet our students and families on August 21.

As we prepare for the new school year, we are mindful to recommit to our Mission:

Holy Spirit School seeks to develop the whole child through a Catholic education rich in FAITH, KNOWLEDGE, and COMMUNITY. We value meaningful character formation, where each child is respected, encouraged, challenged and loved.

Over the summer, our teachers devoted countless hours to ensure that the school year is academically rigorous, rooted in faith, and joyful in spirit. The school community is committed to instilling the following student learning expectations:

FAITH

Students will…

Live the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church

Respect God and others

Serve actively in faith

KNOWLEDGE

Students will…

Meet or exceed academic standards and skills

Communicate effectively

Demonstrate academic integrity

COMMUNITY

Students will…

Thrive socially, physically, creatively, and emotionally

Accept accountability for actions

Recognize and appreciate each person as a unique child of God

Last spring, our school was accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). The review of the school by these organizations assures that our education program maintains high standards and is continuously improving.   We must apply for reaffirmation of our accreditations every six years. We are so proud of our HSS community!
