Reverse Collection 2022

 In Articles

Dear Holy Spirit Parish,

Our names are Jack Werle and Nick Elliott, and we are both members of the Holy Spirit graduating class of 2018. We are proud to announce that we will be organizing the Reverse Collection again this year! We both value this program greatly and believe that it has huge potential to positively impact our Bay Area community.

The Reverse Collection aims to create food security and provide basic necessities to those who are unhoused or living paycheck to paycheck. All donations are taken directly to Sacred Heart Community Center for distribution. As you would expect, inflation has driven up the prices of these items, and has had a disproportionate impact on those in our community who Sacred Heart serves. This year, Sacred Heart has stated that they especially need pop-top cans of foods, baby formula, and diapers. These donations allow recipients to focus on finding a job or getting back on their feet. In an area of such affluence and opportunity, no one should be subject to wondering where their next meal will come from or how they will provide for their family. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, and information slips will be passed out the weekend of March 12-13. Donations will be accepted over the weekends of March 19-20, and March 26-27; barrels to collect donations will be outside of church during these weekends.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at Jack.Werle22@bcp.org or Nick.Elliott22@bcp.org.  Thank you for supporting Sacred Heart!

Sincerely,

Jack Werle and Nick Elliott
