New Year’s Message

 In Articles, Pastor's Notes, Pastor's Notes-Fr. Ritche

Blessings to all as we welcome the New Year! I hope you continue to experience the joy and peace that the Holy Child brings during this season of Christmas.

The first day of the year is traditionally a time to make resolutions. It is a time to look back and reflect on God’s work and providence in our lives. However, it is also a time to look ahead and set a course for 2023 – a time to commence some things, but also a time to conclude some things.

This year, I continue to join you in prayer for:

I pray that as God is the beginning, you will have the courage and trust that God is journeying with us. And to hope that in whatever 2023 has in store for us, God is there to guide us and provide the wisdom we need.

I pray that 2023 is a year of continued growth in your relationship with God, taking time to pray and to reflect as to how God is active in your life. That with the help of the Holy Spirit, you will continue to listen and discern God’s plan. May this be a year of increased discipleship by engaging in the life of our parish in prayer and in service to our brothers and sisters especially the less fortunate.

I pray that this is a year of joy and good health for you and all your loved ones. That this year be a time to grow in your relationships with family and friends. That God protects you from all harm and guides you with His eternal light.

I pray that this be a time of renewed commitment to loving our brothers and sisters and that we may foster unity, peace, and reconciliation.

I ask you to pray for me. May the Lord continue to guide me and give me the wisdom and heart of the Good Shepherd as I continue to pastor this beautiful community of Holy Spirit.

There is so much to look forward to in 2023. God is always with us, transforming us and never tiring to create something new in our lives. In everything, as St. Paul says, know that in God we live, move, and have our being.

Joyous New Year to all of you!
