My Journey of Faith

 In Articles

In this article, I posted a video on YouTube showing my existence here in the Catholic faith. I made this video six years ago when I was blessed to spend a semester in the Holy Land to study about the faith in a deeper way. I was in my third year of theology and able to experience the Palestinians and Jewish people in this country,

I had questioned my faith growing up as a young Asian-American. My journey of faith took me to many places, both physically and spiritually and its culmination is summed up in this video and that is why I am sharing it with you.  The parish office staff was on retreat on Tuesday, March 21st. Our retreat master shared his experiences in the Holy Land and how all the sites he visited connected with the sacraments we have in the Church.  I felt this same connection to the Church’s sacraments.

This video shows how God calls everyone (even a Gentile Asian American like me) to His Church through Christ. There are three parts I want you to recognize in my short video. The first is being chosen by God and guided by Him, the second is His love that brought me to where and when I felt the call, and that call was through the sacraments I received in the Catholic Church. The third, from the priesthood I received, is to continue giving that gift of the sacraments to others. I do not do this on my own, but rather through prayer and offerings to God with Christ in me.
