 In Pastor's Notes-Fr. Ritche

When you drive into Holy Spirit this weekend, you will notice that our parking lot has been repaved. This was one of the much-needed projects we have on our bucket list. The scope of the work included repairing, repaving, re-striping, and the installation of speed bumps in the front driveway. So, be careful as we get use to these speed bumps. These “bumps” will help us be mindful of the foot traffic during weekdays especially on school days. As I keep saying, the safety of all is our top priority.

Having said that, I would like to thank you for your generosity. This project would not have been completed without your support. Honestly, I continue to be amazed by this community’s support and generosity. This is a testament of our love for the parish. Working together and sharing our God-given gifts enhance parish life and ministry.

On a personal note, I am very proud to be pastor of Holy Spirit, not only because of your continued financial support, but more importantly of the response to the promptings of the Spirit – a response that strengthens our relationship with God and with one another. I have witnessed the Spirit alive in our liturgies and different ministries. I have seen how we step up to the plate when things need to be done or when someone needs our help. I believe that is all possible because of your deep friendship with the Lord Jesus. It is that relationship that allows us to dare to be different, meaning to be Christ-like to all we meet and encounter.

In the coming weeks, you will notice some new faces – new staff members. As I’ve said in my previous bulletin article, these are the men and women who will be working with me and all of you to ensure that we continue to efficiently serve one another and to deepen our relationship with Christ.

As always, I assure you of my prayers. May the fire of the Holy Spirit that filled the hearts of the disciples of Jesus with courage and love, bless and help us continue the work in bringing Christ’s presence to all!
