Hi, my name is Flora. I am part of the Year 2 Confirmation group and went on our Thrive retreat at Camp May Mac this past weekend.

My experience was nothing short of enriching. I enjoyed every aspect of the retreat, whether it was recreation time where I got to catch up with friends and meet new ones, or our spiritual sessions aimed to deepen and discover more about our faith and ourselves. During the sessions, we were encouraged to be open and vulnerable while discussing our roots, exercising self-love, and appreciating every blessing. Our leaders are of different personalities and ages, making a diverse community. Each activity had a deeper meaning that was tied to our faith. Personally, my favorite activity was the hike. We immersed ourselves in the natural beauty of God’s creation.

Each session was filled with prayer, serenity, and peace. In our small groups, we focused on ourselves and each other through vulnerability and compassion. I absolutely loved coming on this retreat. As I learned more about my faith, I also got closer with my friends; sharing laughs that will last forever.

I want to thank my small group leaders who I grew close with and who have helped me through my Confirmation journey. I want to thank my sponsor for all the love and support he has given me. I want to thank Row for organizing this retreat for us young Catholics so that we can grow stronger through the Holy Spirit. It was an impactful journey that I will never forget.
