At our evening Good Friday service a few weeks ago, our youth displayed the love that Christ has for us by enacting part of the Gospel passage taken from the Gospel of John. It is a simple enactment, yet a powerful one. Not much has changed from the enactment done years and years previously. The same movements are made…the same song is sung…yet each year, we gain something different.
This year, the words, “I thank you, Lord” resonated so much. Seeing Jesus lifted on the cross and taking our sins, I could not help but utter the words as it was sung, “Thank you, Lord.”
It is with that gratitude that we celebrate now in this Easter season. Wonderful steps forward in the faith journey of our youth are approaching…from First Communions to Confirmations. Certainly, a time to celebrate!
And it is with that same gratitude that we recognize our youth that we have in our Parish. Their commitment to nurturing their faith, their desire to grow closer to Christ, and their willingness to share their love of Christ to us all. We are blessed here at Holy Spirit to have a strong community of youth who make their faith a priority.
Let’s celebrate them!

A very special thank you to the cast for giving us such a meaningful testament of Christ’s love.
