We offer a number of workshops and retreats throughout the year for our community to learn together and grow together in faith. Below is a list of current offerings. We hope you will join us, all are welcome!
What is the Theology of the Body? A series of expansive lectures given by Pope John Paul II between 1979 and 1984 given as a reflection on the creation of humans and our relationship to God the divine. If we become what we contemplate (think on, feast on, pray on), our relationship with God is a unifying process where we become more holy. When we receive the Eucharist, feast on the Word and care for our bodies as a holy temple for Christ, we are on our way to becoming more like Him.
Do you struggle with healthy eating or getting enough exercise? Do you care for your body as a holy vessel where Christ can both dwell and serve the world? Set your own health as a priority this new year and build and maintain God’s temple with the utmost care and respect. Join us to learn about Pope John Paul II’s teaching, how our body processes food and ways to maintain your strength and stamina in order to serve the Lord as he calls you to serve.
Join us Thursday nights, January 11th, 18th and 25th at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. RSVP appreciated but not required to attend: contact Leah Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org.
